The World Boxing Council has voted to place former champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs) in the number two position within the WBC's junior middleweight rankings. Canelo is sitting directly behind the number one ranked Sergey Rabchenko (24-0, 18KOs), who is the WBC's silver champion and also the EBU beltholder. Rabchenko defends his titles against Cedric Vitu (36-2, 15KOs) on November 16.
