Its a bit naive to blame the corner or ref for not stopping the fight. Benjy did a fine job except for that terrible point deduction.

Mago was landing BOMBS here and there into the late rounds and I think even won the 9th..so its easy to look back and say it should have been stopped, but in the heat of it I doubt his grave condition could be predicted by anyone.

Abdusalamov's corner is just in disarray it seems.

They need to stop the fight in Mango's corner.

If Magomed doesnt do anything in this round..his corner should stop the fight..unnecessary punishment..

it's known as a "medically induced coma"

doctors do it with drugs. it will allow his blood pressure to drop, swelling on the brain to go down, vitals to stabilize, etc. you don't want to be conscious for any of this healing process. being out is the best thing for you while your brain "heals" and the swelling goes down.
