That's called ending the show with a ****.

Certain people are wired that way. Guys like ODLHYA/Floyd aren't.

That cannot be the extent of your examples. There are plenty of fighters that went toe to toe after dominating for 11 rounds. One of the sports greatest examples of that is Morrales/Pacman 1. It's called a fighter's mentality. Not low ring IQ.

If Martinez was a big full fledged MW like his opponents, I'd agree with you. He clearly isn't. He might be bigger than Cotto, but at 157 I don't think it's going to be that big. Martinez doesn't use his physicality often anyway.

What I'm worried about the catchweight is that Martinez apparently hasn't been able to do much traditional road work for the past 2 fights. For Murray, he had to do his cardio in the pool because it's low impact on the knees. It's going to be harder to lose weight.

No, my point was Martinez struggled with big, full fledged, fresh middleweights. You cannot compare an average sized welterweight to those dudes. I'd wager all pose bigger threats than an average sized welterweight weight would to Martinez.

All good key points and what not but on the other hand, what makes you think that Miguel will not show up in his BEST shape ever?

Also, Cotto will take away Maravilla's reach advantage by closing the distance where Miguel's shorter arms will have more leverage -Left Hook-. Also, Ill have to agree that Cotto's ring IQ is superior than that's of Sergio.

Something else to consider is that Cotto is one of the best at cutting off the ring and he will not chase him just like JC Jr. did to Martinez.

I think that we have a great match up, and should be memorable! Ill do my 100% to attend this fight!

Dont be surprised when Cotto stops Sergio!!!

              War Cotto!!!!

I do not know who you were referring to however, you're crazy to even compare Cotto to Chavez. Cotto doesn't have Chavez's chin, power, stamina or size.

Where in my post did I compare Cotto to JCC Jr regarding his attributes other THAN ring IQ and generalship?

P4P Cotto COMPLETELY AND UNANIMOUSLY destroys JCC Jr. Any how, that is NOT the topic here, I used the example of Chavez chasing Martinez all around the ring very ineffectively for 11.5 rounds and only was able to land on Sergio when he decided (to be argued) to stand his ground on the 12th.

Actually thats low boxing IQ. Sure thats considered heart and will to end the fight with a "****" but if that fight is already in your favor and you were dominating it, to put yourself in a situation that could very well cost you it, is just plain ******ity. You could still box and pick your shots but dont be an idiot and go toe toe and risk getting caught when you have clearly won 11 rounds.

Were not talking about heart or will, were talking about being smart in the ring.
