Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City - WBO middleweight champion Peter Quillin (30-0, 22KOs) had to come from behind as he was being tested by Gabe Rosado (21-7, 13KOs), to score a tenth round TKO, after the ringside doctor stopped the bout due to a cut above Rosado's left eye.
They were pretty cautious and picking spots in the first. Quillin was landing harder and scored a flash knockdown in the second. Rosado tried backing Quillin up in the third and trying to land something big. He didn't have much success until the final 30 seconds when he landed a big shot Quillin's chin to wobble him and then he tried to batter him at the bell. Rosado continued to get more confident, coming forward and starting to outwork Quillin in the rounds to come.
