Bernard Hopkins doesn't want to just pad his remarkable resume against German Karo Murat on Saturday. The ageless American wants to end his nine-year knockout drought.

Hopkins, the oldest boxer to win a major world title, will put his International Boxing Federation light-heavyweight belt on the line against Murat, months after their scheduled July bout was scuppered when Murat was denied a US visa.

Hopkins, 48, took the IBF title in March with a victory over Tavoris Cloud, breaking his own age mark by nearly two years.

Absolutely no reason you woulda heard of Karo, the only reason he's anywhere near a mando spot is courtesy of some German judging (couple of robberies vs Campillo amongst them).

Still, he's tough enough, the only loss he had was 'gainst Cleverly and was a bad stoppage (though he was losing anyway) in the UK.

BHop ain't stopped anyone in 9 years - (that ain't a 'drought' ffs - some careers don't last that long) and I doubt he's about to do it now.
