Why is Ward Rated Above Carl Froch?

Ward is rated above Froch because he clearly beat Froch, won the Super Six, has clearly won all of his fights, and has a resume comparable to Froch's (Kessler, Abraham, Froch, Dawson).

While Froch has been in more exciting fights, he has in the past struggled with Jermain Taylor, Andre Dirrell, and lost a close fight to Mikkel Kessler.

With that said, I do enjoy watching Carl Froch fight and he should be in the Ring P4P top 10 because of his resume (Pascal, Dirrell, Abraham, Bute, Kessler).

I like the way Froch fights and I don't like the way Ward fights and consider his holding and hitting tactics cheating. Still Ward clearly beat Froch and he beat Kessler by a wider margin than Froch did. Ward won the tournament and he has never lost a fight. I have to rate him as a better fighter than Froch even if Froch has a ten times more crowd pleasing style.An argument could be made that Froch should be ranked higher in the ratings due to Ward not fighting for so long because of injuries. Ward has signed to fight a very good high rated challenger so to me he is still the world champ at 168. If Froch wants to be considered the best 168 pounder in the world I think he needs to come to terms with Ward on a rematch and try beat him in the ring. Until then I think most fans and experts rate Ward as the best 168 pounder alive and the true champion.

I like both guys. Froch is a very good fighter but he's not better than Ward. I think everyone knows this already. It's obviously crap on Ward week around here.

I think he's kind of brought that on himself. The drug testing issue in boxing is huge, he's offered free testing and he turns it down. I was supporting him v Rodriguez, not so sure now.

It's funny, I feel both Froch and Ward have a couple of the best resumes in boxing right now. In my personal opinion, I feel Froch edges Ward out in terms of resume. But, in ability, I have to easily give it to Ward.
