    Tensions reached boiling point when unbeaten Australian Blake Caparello and his enigmatic American counterpart Allan Green went face-to-face for the final time at yesterday's weigh-in at the Bayview at the Park Hotel ahead of their scheduled clash for the vacant IBO light heavyweight title tonight from The Melbourne Pavilion.

    Controversy struck went it became apparent that, Green, 34, was not going to make the contracted weight of 175 pounds - making it the second consecutive fight where the former world title challenger and Super Six contestant has come in overweight.

      2 bad 4 the Aussie, looking@ Green's body ezy 2c he didn't put in a lotta gym time...a nothing title 4 a nothing guy...Green needs 2 retire , he has no desire...

        At one point I was pretty high on this guy (Green); however, he never lived up to the expectations and has become a 'name opponent' or gatekeeper these days

            One thing I noticed about this, and it is sort of off topic, is that Russ Anber's own brand of gear "Rival" is getting picked up as the preference of more and more fighters. He is going to be making real coin soon.

            Another thing I noticed is that it looks like Allan Green is back to staring at his feet again.

                What is it with weight at the moment?

                You'd think a string of recent bouts like this one, Tapia-Kirland, Chavez-Vera were all on the same card on Boxing Day, having spent Christmas round James Toney's house.
