There is no way Lewis, a cautios fighter in his prime, comes out strong enough to win the early rounds.

It is a 50/50 fight , but Tyson's biggest chance is to knock Lewis out within 5 or 6 rounds. The version of Tyson who fought and lived with D'Amato was fast , extremely aggressive, disciplined. Mike used his jab, bobbed , weaved, worked angles. That said, he was unexperienced, and would have problems in fighting 12 competitive rounds.

Lewis would need to spoil, clinch and keep the fight at a low pace for at least 5 rounds if he wants a W, he didn't have the kind of style, nor the chin to go out all guns ablaze against a guy like Tyson.

It'd play out in a similar fashion than the Holmes fight, with the difference that Lewis, although not as talented in my opinion, was still much better than that version of Holmes, and his jab might allow him to survive the early aggression.
Lewis doesn't have to come out strong in the early rounds. He just has to win (outpoint) more rounds and frustrate Tyson ..... Every fight is different.
