        Ha, I do hope that's a joke.

Martinez used the jab effectively in one fight, against Dzinzurn***(sp?).

Martinez does plenty of things better than Cotto, but jabbing is not one of them.

See Martinez v. (Bunema, Pavlik, Dzinziruk, Barker, Macklin, etc.).

Sergio's jab fires like a laser and hits like a power jab. Sergio is taller and rangier than Cotto, if Miguel starts a jabbing war he will definitely lose and get countered w/left hands.

Cotto should cut the ring while keeping a high guard and using good head movement and angles; throw the left hook to the body followed by the right hook upstairs or vise versa. Head hunting won't work because of the range disadvantage and Sergio's constant movement, Cotto needs to fire only when in hooking distance and only use the jab to feint or set up punches. How effectively Cotto is able to cut the ring will be determinant in the fight.

Don't count these old guys out. JMM was old and wash for the third fight with manny. Look the him now. Sergio might come back healed up n ready for war.

Roach just said no catchweight. He also said Cotto came into training camp weighing around 175 lbs.

Roach and Cotto say no catch weight is needed and the full 160 pounds is fine. Good for them. I personally don't think a fighter that wins the title at a catch weight is really the champ but that's just me.I would accept Mayweather as the lineal chanp if he had fought Canelo at 154 but there is no 152 pound world title. There is no 158 pound world title. A catch weight for a non title fight is fine but world champion titles should be fought at the traditional full weight limit in my opinion. Otherwise what is the point of having weight classes? I don't make the rules so that's just my own standard. What is a shame to me is that if Cotto and Martinez fight for the lineal world middleweight title a middleweight known as GGG will never get to fight either of them. I am sure he would knock them both out if he could get a fight with them.

He needs to start fast and keep the pressure sustained. Martinez always seems to have issues in the middle rounds for some reason and Cotto needs to exploit that. Martinez can be touched to the body, Cotto needs to make him feel that left hook. Cotto's right hand doesn't get the credit it deserves, it's not a 1 punch KO, but it hurts and his opponents are forced to respect it. He'll need to use to keep Sergio honest, as I have a feeling Sergio might think he's too big for Cotto and come after him early. If Cotto can do this and I know he can, he can beat Sergio for the MW title.
