Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford Decisions Elusive Klimov Over Ten

Amway Center, Orlando, Florida - In a battle of undefeated lightweights, Terence Crawford (22-0, 16KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Andrey Klimov (16-1, 8KOs). All three judges scored it 100-90. It was an awkward clash of styles, with the more active Crawford outboxing the elusive Klimov. Crawford was never able to land more than one or two flush punches per round, as Klimov was very difficult to hit and kept Crawford guessing for the entire fight. Crawford worked his jab all night and landed the better shots. Neither boxer was hurt or in danger of going down.

Not easy to look good against an opponent who isn't there to win but at the same time Crawford really looked awful, his right hook was too wide, he was inaccurate throughout the fight except for his jab and some looping left hands to the body. Just not a good performance at all, hopefully he steps up.

Crawford just needs to step up.

He looks good and has good potential but like many other young fighters out there his competition is mostly abysmal.

How much do we really know about Crawford? His best win is Bredit Prescott.

Broner get's rightfully criticized for his level of opposition but it blows Crawfords out the water.

Can you imagine if Broner fought this Klimov tonight? He'd have beaten him half to death.

The whole undercard has been horrible. Not really impressed by Crawford yet. He got the win, but didn't look great doing it.
