I am going to start calling Jr and Arum "Sideshow bob" - Jr is Sideshow and Bob is just plain old bob ! And to see the Mexicans on here still supporting dude is sad - you should hold a higher standard for your own than for anyone else, that old mentality is dead, because cats like this create the stereotype for all to be judged or compared to - this is why I support Canelo, because he is professional and he did it on his own with out any name recognition, he built up his own name / brand. Don't get me wrong sideshow can fight, but he is killing himself and his career.

I don't know whats worse between this or asking a 22 year old to a catchweight when you already have a 154 pound title

If only Vera didn't need this check...it would've been sweet for him to say fck the money i'm walking away and left this kid out of sorts. The way things look right now Vera will win this fight simply because this kid is going to have to kill himself in them plastic vynil suits that cook your organs while you sweat off the pounds. Chavez Jr at 35/40 is going to have all sorts of ailments because of his immaturity and lack of ability to respect a sport his own father gave so much to.

Chavez doesn't have to worry. He will get a title fight in his next fight regardless of what he weighs. If he weighs 168, he will become the mandatory challenger for the WBC 168-pound title after he beats Vera. If he weighs 170, he will become the mandatory challenger for the WBC light-heavyweight title. If he weighs 180, he will become the mandatory contender for the WBC 180-pound title (they will create a new weight division just for Chavez Jr.). His future is set regardless of what he weighs.
