As for the "boxing" aspect of your argument. Danny just beat the biggest threat to his 140 title. That was the biggest fight in that division. Its all downhill from there. Time to move on to bigger and better things.
i see your point, the business side of thing, but you as a boxing fan wold you like to se garcia vs rios alvarado marquez?

Whether I want to see them or not, they're not gonna happen. GBP and Top Rank aren't gonna work together. Honestly, the fight I most wanna see for Garcia is Broner. But at the moment, Danny is probably the best available, makeable option for Floyd Mayweather. And that *****s all. Danny has proven himself to be the best jr welterweight in boxing. And he deseres a shot at what will be the biggest payday of his career. And he deserves a chance to try and end Floyd's reign as P4P King. Everybody is selling this kid short. Floyd is gonna eentually get beat. And IMO he's gonna get beat by someone who we give absolutely no chance of beating him. Maybe a young, strong, skillled fighter like Danny who always finds a way to win and doesn't know how to lose is the man to do it. He's come up the hard way and wasn't coddled like Canelo.

Matthyesse an over rated fighter??? Wow the dude had Zab Judah and Devon Alexander both on ***** street. In my eyes he beat the both of them. And since he wasn't as marketable as they were he didn't get the decision. Boxing is a business. Now Danny Garcia beats him. ANd you have haters talking about he is over rated. LOL you guys are too much. IF a fighter loses he is over rated or exposed. Danny Garcia was the better fighter that night. Lucas Matthyesse is still one of the Top fighters and he will bounce back from this lose.

          Team Garcia!

Matthysse was blown up to monumental proportions before this fight, so if you hear or read anything negative said about Matthysse, just think back to what was said about Danny and ask yourself.

Was Danny as bad as Matthysse's fans made him out to be?

Some fans will find out tonight whether Matthysse was butted, thumbed, and truly put down in this fight.

He definitely wasn't. I had this fight 50/50 going in. Garcia impressed me by outboxing Judah in the first 4 rounds, no fighter does that easily so he was obviously skilled and he had power too.

Matthysse's power I feel was somewhat overrated, although obviously not absent. His chances did rely on that translating, and it did appear to be working for him late but he was very unlucky in the bout.

Still, it was a close fight as I saw it. Danny Garcia won, but it wasn't a bout people wouldn't like to see again.

You notice how Danny let Matthysse know right away that what you heard about me ain't true. Matthysse's face was starting to turn red from the door.
