Sad thing is I would never see Canelo the same, I know a lot of people who put big bets on Canelo and they won't forgive him for this. Floyd is a great fighter but I feel he would crack under pressure.

No offense, but I'd say people who put big money on Canelo against Mayweather don't know shit about boxing and deserve to lose money.

I've gotta agree. Big money? That's the height of nationalistic fervor. Anyone that knows anything about boxing knew Canelo wasn't likely to win. I can understand putting a token bet on your horse, but c'mon.

I was at a fight party and a chick wanted to bet me Alvarez would win. "Why?," I asked. She said it was because she hated Mayweather. That's the kind of mentality some people have. They bet with their hearts, not their heads. People like that get taken to the cleaners.

alvarez is a very good fighter. his only flaw was fighting floyd money mayweather. alvarez is'nt good enough. he'll do fine going forward though. i'd like to see him against angulo or molina. and hopefully he will stop ducking isrilandy lara.

Now that the Floyd fight is behind him, Canelo cashed in, and doesn't have a "zero" to protect anymore, he can get on with the business of fighting. I hope Lara is next, although that's a tough fight for Alvarez. Angulo would be good. Even Molina might be a good idea. Canelo can seek to win back a belt.

I think so. They threw him in there with a guy he couldn't beat for some big cash. (The best reason, especially since there was no real danger of being hurt.) Canelo might've suffered a minor setback to his image, what with the unrealistic notions many of his fans had, but he'll be back after a few good wins.

I'll speak for myself: I never thought Canelo had a real chance against Floyd, no more than a puncher's chance. I don't make bets based on long-shots. If people lined up to bet me against Mayweather, I would've been glad to cover all of them. Easy money. And, trust me, I'm not a Floyd fan or Canelo hater.
