Comments Thread For: Wlodarczyk vs. Sosnowksi Looms For February 22 Bout

The event has not been announced officially, but February 22 is the target date for the big TV Polsat gala, where WBC world cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (48-2-1, 34 KOs) will make his heavyweight debut against veteran countryman Albert Sosnowski (47-6-2, 28 KOs). The fight is going to happen in Poland. Wlodarczyk's mandatory is Giacobbe Fragomeniego, who the Polish champion fought twice (in 2009 and 2010) - going to a draw and winning the rematch, and there isn't a lot of money in a third fight and the television networks are not very interested in carrying the contest.

Is this permanent or just to dip his feet?
    Diablo shouldn't be a HW

I've seen at least one fight from all the current big names at CW (Huck, Hernandez, Lebedev and G. Jones), but for some reason never a Wlod fight. Boxrec says he fought Cunningham and Fragomeni twice, and stopped Green. What should I watch in order to get a good impression of him? What do BS'ers think of him in general?

The Chakhkiev fight was most exciting, Palacios II and Fragomeni II both top performances.

Good defence, probably the hardest puncher at CW. Starts slowly but finishes strong. Watch his fight against Green or, most recent one, against Chakhkiev.

He's a good puncher but i don't think he's the hardest. If these Polish CW's want money how come they never fight eachother? Adamek moved up without unifying with Wlodarczyk and now it looks like he's doing the same without facing Masternak. I don't see him being successful at HW.

I guess they're all chasing money.... must've not been much money in unification.
Adamek made off with some money against Vitali, maybe Diablo thinks he can do the same and maybe get a belt after they retire

Who is the hardest puncher then, Huck? Come on

Adamek moved up because of money, everybody know that. He earned over 3 milion $ for Vitali fight, he would never made that much for fighting Wlod.

I don't see him being successful at HW as well, but I don't think he'll stay in that division.
