They need a ****ing network just for boxing already. They could show all fights from all over the world on it. Sponsors could get in on it. There is plenty of alcohol that people need to sell to idiots that drink it, so there you go.

The have a network for gameshows. Okay let me just go down my ****ing cable channels here and look at some of the ridiculous ****:
      Court TV
      NFL
      NBA
      Golf Channel
      Garden channels
      Food/cooking channels
      Travel channels
      Oxygen
      Lifetime
      Bravo
      i
      LOGO
      BBC America
      Military Channel
      Hallmark
      Country Music channels
      MTV
      MTV2
      Fuse
      Shopping networks
      CSpan
      CSPAN2
      MSNBC
      CNBC
      Bloomberg
      Nasa
      NRB??
      RFD?
      other bull**** channels

Okay there is definitely room for a Boxing channel.

No, not some gay ass all inclusive Fighting channel where I have to sit through MMA and K-1 bull****. Just boxing. Let MMA get their own channel too.

that wont happen, they know they'd have more money promoting fights rather than having one channel for it and those channels are there because people watch it tv people know their **** that's why they are there and we are here

Better in terms of being a crowd draw? Nahh.
Better in terms of accomplishment? Definitely a big No.

Then how the **** can Ring claims these 2 deserces to be in the top 10 than Taylor.

Oh! It's probably because ring is also Taylor hater.
taylor ain't fought **** except a burned out version of b-hop...and he lost one of those fights. He has no skins on the wall...not near as many as the marquez brothers.

I understand that completely, and i'm not blaming fans, just the fact that some people can assume they know who belongs where in the rankings without seeing a fighter. You can't make an argument that Wonjongkam doesn't belong in the rankings without seeing him fight first. It's obvious that Psycho's only backing argument is what he's staring at on a website (boxrec).

Credit due to you, though, to search for some of his fights, or to do that for any fighter that HBO or Showtime might not deam "television-friendly".

              actually you're wrong

they'd stand to make a lot more money trying to get advertisers than PPV buys.

a 24 hour fight channel means there are tons of advertising blocks that must be filled. and that means people trying to market to the boxing fans. who would try marketing to boxing fans? currently, alcohol, casinos, las vegas, atlantic city, action movies, rap music, rock music, girls gone wild, 900 number *** lines probably, insurance companies, loan companies, credit card companies, cellphone companies, fast food, etc.

Pac vs. Morales did 350 k buys, which is very good. $17.5 million dollars from PPV revenue. Say another couple million for the live gate. So roughly $20 million for a really good PPV. How much did Pac and Morales get? I don't even remember. We'll say $5 million between the two. So $15 million left, but there's the site fee. There's paying HBO their cut. There's paying the Gov't some of it for taxes. It costed them money to advertise on TNT, during Friday Night Fights, etc. They'd be doing good to come away with $10 million.

Say they get paid $1 million a day by advertisers. They're looking at a guaranteed $30 million a month. And $1 million a day would be fairly low.

Then as the channel grows in popularity, demand for advertising on their channel would increase, so they'd make even more money. They'd be better off getting paid by advertisers than the fans.

Still you're right, it probably won't happen. Boxing is too fragmented for anything to actually ever work out correctly in it.
