People are confusing not being able to to not doing it. Alexander CAN punch, he just would rather pull his punches to initiate a clinch. Alexander is smart enough to load up a left hook as soon as Kahn initiates. Alexander can punch, has seemed physically strong and can take a punch. He's also pretty disciplined. He has to be to be that boring lol.

Kahn will serve to make Alexander look like a dangerous boxer puncher... Maybe.

There's always the chance Kahn can overwhelm him and take a lot of early rounds and make Devon have to fight uphill which might happen... But I cant bet on Kahn's chin. Not against someone who's not far behind in speed and can box.

I think the ref will be a major factor in this one.....Khan's pushing off vs Alexander's holding/headbutting.

With that said...

I see Khan with a late KO....Khan is too tall and wild for Devon to hold like he does, and Devon won't be able to pull Khan into a headbutt when he runs outta gas....plus Devon did NOT bring any power up to 147.

khan has a height and reach advantage and maybe a slight edge in speed, lets keep in mind alexander is very fast himself. other than that all the advantages are with devon. khans skills are severely overrated, he lives off his speed 100% but his skills are actually very weak. devon is the far more skilled fighter in addition to being far more intelligent and durable.

khan does have a stylistic edge but i think devon is superior enough to knock him out regardless. he does have power too, idk why some ppl cant understand that certain fighters just dont have a punchers mindset. devon generally doesnt look to hurt ppl, just box them. he chooses not to sit down on his punches most of the time but when he does he has some pop.

knowing khans lack of defense and less than average punch resistance he will probably look to sit down on his shots that night. especially knowing khan cant hurt devon back, another thing alexander doesnt get enough credit for is having an absolute granite jaw. i saw bailey, matthysse, maidana and urango hit him with shots that would flatten a MW.

either way khan never schooled anyone and im doubtful he ever will, he beats ppl with sheer talent. you school someone with skills and intelligence both of which khan lacks. if alexander fights the right fight i think he stops khan in 6, maybe 8 if khan really brings it.

Khans last two performances were piss poor

However I think in the Diaz fight he was very nervous because the pressure was on him fighting at home and also trying adapt to some new tactics, he fought very cagey

I think his confidence will be high when he fights Devon, also the home crowd pressure will be gone.

That Garcia loss knocked all his confidence, its a slow road back

Although if he goes in there underestimating Devon power like he did Garcias, then he may pay a price

Khan needs to box like he did against Zab and Paulie
