Yea, he probably should be fighting in the 140 pound category, but all his loses have been close ones. We expected him to beat Sotto, but it was deadeven until the final round, it's not like he embarrassed himself.

All these loses have been great fights and thrillers. There are a ton of Berto matchups I'd still love to see.
None of his losses were close. Ortiz, Guerrero, and Soto-Karass all kicked his ass.

Judah is one of the most over hyped fighters the sport has seen but he is leagues and leagues above Berto.

Berto is just awful in almost every way.

Zab's legacy is beating Cory fucking Spinks, big deal. Both equal hypejobs

Heart. I think the Garcia fight put that to rest. Judah was just a punk for years. The man has heart

Zab Judah is this era's Zab Judah, and both he and Berto turned out exactly how their level of talent dictated they should have. In fact, in Berto's case his talented dictated he should have done even less but because he "looked" like a fighter, he got things handed to him.

zab was lineal champ of welter
                  and a 3 time titlist at 140

berto is not in the same league....

shot judah performs better than a prime berto

Zab has fought everyone,, tzsyu, ward, corley, spinks twice, baldomir, floyd, cotto, clottey, khan, garcia,,,,

                  berto has ortiz and ghost
Good points Berto isnt in the same league. I was just thinking from the stand point that Berto is underachieving. I feel Al Haymon had big plans for him but he did not pan out.

I think it's one of those instances where once a fighter loses his "0", they never return to form. Not saying Berto was some sort of world beater, though.

I can't say that, he mentally checked out against Floyd, Cotto, Baldomir and then he quit against Clottey and Khan. Judah to me possessed true skills, I know I fall in the minority there but his combinations were wicked, the traps he set against Floyd, the way he sets up the counter left uppercut, he has some really good qualities but again...mentally he ain't the strongest.

It sucks because Judah doesn't have a bad chin, he can take the punishment, he has good survival instincts too, so I hated watching him mentally check out of fights. What he did against Garcia was commendable, but dammit why didn't we see that part of him earlier in his career?
