Comments Thread For: Pulev Continues To Wait as Dimitrenko Walks Away

German heavyweight Aleksander Dimitrenko has today relinquished the position as mandatory challenger for EBU champ Kubrat Pulev and thus there were no purse bids today at noon in Rome.

Pulev will now fight the highest available contender. "The Cobra" previously knocked out Dimitrenko and then in September of last year did the same to Alexander Ustinov and things looked up and away. A final IBF eliminator was ahead but things dragged out and when Pulev finally had a co-challenger in Tyson Fury he withdrew. The fight against Fury was also a mandatory defence of the EBU title and this is where Dimitrenko entered the picture - and is now out of it. [Click Here To Read More]

Adamek, fury, Jennings, Dimitrenko, who's next?

Pulev is the most avoided man in boxing ATM.

Give us Pulev-Thompson, please. Tony the Tiger would jump all over that .

According to Sauerland, Kubrat Pulev finally has an opponent:

Boytsov was always willing to fight anybody, it was his promoter Universum that turned down fights.

But there's a rumor Boytsov may be signing with Sauerland, he's been seen the past few weeks working out at the Sauerland facility with a Sauerland trainer.

If Sauerland signs Boytsov (WBO #1) than a fight with Pulev could be a WBO final eliminator.

The IBF have been very unfair to Pulev, so he should tell them they can go **** themselves.
