Comments Thread For: Donaire Not Keen on Facing Darchinyan at 122-Pounds

Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is not keen on a rematch with Vic Darchinyan because he is currently walking around at over 140 pounds and to come down to 122 would hurt him.

Donaire told the BoxingScene/Manila Standard that his manager Cameron Dunkin informed him his return bout in late October or early November following his stunning loss to Guillermo Rigodeaux on April 13 in New York, would be against Darchinyan who was knocked out in the 5th round by Donaire on July 7, 2007 in an IBF/IBO flyweight title

Donaire is risking his health fighting at 122 again.

If Mares isnt fighting Rigo, then I would still like to see Nonito-Mares before a Rigo rematch.

Seems like Nonito is moving up anyways.

Donaire needs bulk up a little bit and get stronger. Move up to 126 already and gain some damn muscle.

Maybe take a shot and fight at 130. He would feel a lot better fighting at a weight closer to his natural size.

                    Feed Darchinyan to Rigo.
