    According to Tom Loeffler, managing director of K2 Promotions, IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24KOs) is willing to face WBO beltholder Peter Quillin (29-0, 21KOs) in his next fight - but only if the match takes place on HBO. The battle of networks could become an issue, as Quillin fights exclusively on Showtime. Quillin is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, and earlier this year HBO cut their business ties with Golden Boy. Despite the promotional complications, Loeffler is confident a deal can be reached if HBO televises the match.

    GGG might be the better fighter but its not like hes bringing in huge gate money. That little candy ass venue last night wasnt even sold out. But you have to respect the power and boxing ability. So many times people try to force bums like Margarito and others up on the public. For every 10 bums there comes a GGG or a Lucas. Guys who can be dynamic. Guys who are being built up the right way.

        Both fighters know this fight isn't gonna happen. They're just talking.

        I've been saying it for a while that this fight isn't gonna happen due to network feud.

              That would be great exposure for GGG. JCC jr will bring in a lotta fans, and it will be fun while it lasts.

              But personally id rather see him unify against Martinez (not likely for next fight I know) unify against geale (best option IMO) or fight Murray since many people, myself included, thought he beat Martinez.


              Geale-Martinez-Murray-JCC jr - would all be great fights

                    Come on man Golden Boy fighters don't fight on HBO! GGG is not with Top Rank and last time I checked Show Time have had a lot of major fights this year! And have two major fights coming up with Mayweather vs Canelo

                    And Garcia vs Matthysse! They also did great numbers with Broner vs Paullie, and Canelo vs Trout etc...

                    To use the network as an excuse is bogus especially when it is not a top rank fighter vs Golden Boy fighter!
