FINALLY breaking his silence, Mexican ring great Marco Antonio Barrera said he’s ready to face Manny Pacquiao in a rematch of their 2003 battle won by the fierce Filipino hero by technical knockout in the 11th round.

Eric Gomez, the matchmaker for Barrera’s promotional outfit Golden Boy Promotions, informed the boxing website ********* in an interview yesterday that Barrera’s March 25 showdown with Jesus Chavez for the latter’s International Boxing Federation lightweight title has been put on hold as Barrera waits for the outcome of next Sunday’s Pacquiao-Morales battle.

in another clash with Pacquiao.
“If Pacquiao wins, we are willing to make the fight happen on March 25,” Gomez added. “But, if he wins and gets injured, we could wait for him for an extra month or so.”
Also in the short list as Barrera’s possible foes are World Boxing Organization champ Jorge Barrios and World Boxing Association kingpin Vicente Mosquera.
“Marco said it would be an honor to fight a great champion like Jorge Barrios,” Gomez said. “We want him to fight the best out there . . . but we will support him in wanting revenge against Pacquiao.”
