The part that makes me REALLY hate the catch weight is that Floyd denounced catch weights 2 fights ago and now all of a sudden this is different smh. I hope the CW is dropped.

Floyd trashed Pacquiao for having a catchweight fight with Cotto that had the welterweight limit lowered 2 pounds from 147 to 145 with the title on the line.He said Pacquiao drained Cotto and said he considered Cotto an undefeated fighter implying Cotto would have won the fight if he had been allowed to fight at the standard 147 pound welterweight limit. I think Pacquiao would surely have beaten Cotto even if Cotto had been allowed to weigh in at 147 but we will never know for sure.I have nothing against a catchweight fight as long as no world title is up for grabs.Cotto should have told Pacquiao that the fight must be at 147 if his title was on the line.The boxing commission should not allow title fights to be fought at anything but the standard class weight limit and the WBA,WBC,IBF, and WBO should do likewise but they won't so what the hell.Floyd as the defending WBA 154 pound superchamp is doing the exact same thing to Canelo that Pacquiao did to Cotto.He is draining Canelo of the same exact 2 pounds that Pacquiao drained Cotto.Anyone who called Pacquiao the catchweight king but is OK with Floyd doing the same exact thing is a hypocrite. Mayweather is a doubletalking hypocrite.I don't think the 2 pounds will hurt Canelo anymore than it hurt Cotto. I am thrilled this fight is happening.
