It isn't though, why keep repeating? It was a close fight and if you give the home fighter the close rounds like he's supposed to get then 115-113 is fine.

A ringside judge really has to be pulling for Broner to give him 117-111 in the opponent's hometown.

I started scoring the fight but then just decided to watch it and rescore tomorrow. I think Malignaggi won 4 decisive rounds and could have won a couple more. I would have been satisfied even with a draw.

Malignaggi was very honest, the fight could have gone either way or a draw. A 9 to 3 card is a ridiculous.

what are you talking about you're not supposed to give the close rounds to the home fighter you give the close rounds to whoever you thought won the round

you can look at aggression, work rate, ring generalship or defense but not who is the home fighter

Malignaggi actually accepted the loss initially but they had to go and insult him with the third scorecard and then Broner's side-piece remark.

foh man, you know how this sport works as well as I do. I can give you quotes of world champions saying precisely that.

The hometown guy gets the nod in the close rounds - except when it's against Al Haymon fighters. When it's Al Haymon you got an NY judge scoring it 117-111 against an NY fighter.

I don't remember who was Austin Trout's manager but I also thought it was ridiculous when Adalaide Byrd scored 119-109 for Trout in the Cotto fight, which was held in NY. I mean how could anyone see that fight 11 to 1 for Trout in Cotto's second home? Hell, I scored 117-111 Trout and there was a swing round that could have made it 116-112, at least.

that's just as corrupt though and like pauli said usually is the house fighter or the more popular that gets the 50/50 rounds I gave the close rounds to whoever landed the cleaner punches
