Chakhkiev lost because he had a terrible game plan. All he did was throw punches all over the place and most of them were just landing on Wlodarczyk's gloves. Then he got tired and Wlodarczyk finished him.

Wlodarczyk on the other hand had a great game plan. He waited for Chakhiev to get tired and even though he was hurt a couple of times (he was even down once) he was able to contain the Russian and then came out strong in the 7th and 8th rounds.

    Great win for Wlodarczyk.

Wow. Didn't expect Wlodarczyk to weather the storm. Credit to him.

I believe the Pole had a horrible game plan. Simply because for the most part he did nothing. And even with the knock downs if it would have gone to a decision he would have lost, especially in Russia. And what was with his foul cup? It was almost so high he could hardly see over it. As for the knockdowns a couple of those shots were really short punches that didn't look as if they had much on them.

Yeah they were not very strong punches but the Russian was extremely tired and couldn't take them anymore.

It was very clear at the moment of the KO that Chakhkiev couldn't take more punches because of his fatigue, not because Wlodarczyk was landing massive shots.
