I could definitely see that happening.

He does not mind going into the trenches and is also deceptively strong. Have you noticed how many times he ends up pushing his opponents against the ropes, prime Cotto included, even though he is perceived as a weak guy?
Paulie's physical strength is def underrated. Cotto didn't fight monsters at 140, but he fought some good fighters.

He did fight some monster punchers even if their skills were not all that. I would say that Randall and Torres were some of the biggest punchers in the division back then. Lovemore N' Dou was also a very tough guy back then. True, those are not HOF fighters but those were very dangerous fights at the time.

Why should I think about fantasy fight between an ATG like Cotto and B-level fighter , while there are tons of active fighters who could easily beat him in his weight class ?!
And the first in the list is Khan !!

Honestly I think prime Cotto is the more talented of the two, but Garcia has a better chin. In a close quarter engagement, where they trade combinations anything can happen.

Cotto would probably win a long drawn out war, but I would not be surprised if during a close quarter exchange Danny gets Cotto in trouble and possibly finishes him.
