Where was it evident? To be honest with you Hopkins didn't have to fight Dawson he lost to the man that Hopkins beat twice. Dawson was always a HBO hypejob like Manny Pacquiao, good fighter but doesn't deserve the hype that is given. Hopkins in my opinion beat Dawson, Dawson ain't really do anything to take the belt from Hopkins in my opinion.

So Kovalev is short and squared up, from what I saw against Cornelius White he can box if he chooses to. Also he has power and some underrated skill, I think Hopkins can win but it won't be easy and Kovalev is leagues above Dawson, I can tell you that right now.

If he was a hypejob, then why did Hop spend 3 years ducking him and saying he was a small attraction? Dawson and Pascal had a rematch Clause, and Dawson was paid to step aside, so Bhop finally had to fight him. So he faked the injury to escape the fight.

And you dont have to lie about Dawson beating Hopkins. I know you dont actually believe that craziness. The reason Bhop ducked him, is because he's not physically able to beat Dawson. Its impossible for him to beat Dawson, as shown in the fight.

I wouldnt say that Kovalev is better defensively than Dawson. He got something there, but I wouldnt say defense is that.
