Haymon/Schaefer would have lined up Mosley after the Malignaggi fight if they're still at HBO. But the Berto cherrypicking days are over for Schaefer/Haymon in this case. SHO don't have that kind of money HBO had. So I believe Maidana would be next for Broner after the Malignaggi fight.

Very interesting fight but I still give an edge to Broner, at least on paper, he is the better boxer. He likes to plant himself with his "lead filled shoes" and counter punch but that strategy could be extremely dangerous agains a puncher like Chino! If Broner can make some adjustments, then he should win a WD, otherwise, it will be very interesting!

If Ponce de Leon gave so much problems to"The problem" Broner, imagine what would Maidana do, and no, I think you're wrong, Broner likes to stay in the pocket, that's why is style is likeable to many fans.

Maidana is a limited fighter period, he is overrated IMO because he has power, am not undervaluing him but his limitations are there for any boxer than can box to exploit at will. Experience is all good and am sure Paulie Malignnagi would tell you he is more experience than Broner or been involve in wars but that for me doesn't mean he would give Broner a hard time.
Maidana has given every single top boxer problems, he could be a "limited boxer", a "limited fighter" ?? never in this life. The guy is solid against anyone from 140 to 147, maybe with the exception of master Floyd. and "every boxer" that has faced Maidana has had a tough night.

Broner vs Maidana ? I got Maidana by KO, regards.

You do realize fighters progress right? How old was broner? He was 21 and was still learning. He's gotten much better since then and that was a tough challenge and bad style for a 21 year old prospect. If they were to fight now it'd be much different. You can't hang on to the ponce fight forever. That's like comparing canelo from 2011 and say he's overrated as of now.

Valid and logical point, anyway we have to see how Broner looks against a solid challenge, from that, we'll see how far can he get.

I don't know why people write off Paulie so badly, lets remember Paulie has never legitimately been stopped other than referee intervention, and I highly doubt Broner will change that. Paulie is still a good fighter, his weakness lies in his hands. If he had the ability to hit as hard as the average welterweight I can assure you his fights would be far more different.

Take it from a guy who has sparred with people who have had good hands and then overtime problems have hindered their ability by 40%.

And this is a Maidana with a good trainer, that's training right, using his jab, and throwing straighter shots. Don't expect the same Chino from the Khan or Devon fights...

Broner will try to pound the body though. But watch what happens when Maidana gets hurt. Also Broner with his static shoulder roll defense is vulnerable to the body as well. Maidana has a very underrated body attack.

Its funny a bunch of people were doubting Chino against Lopez as well. Wait and see.
thats not necessarily true about him getting stronger when he is hurt... when i fighter hurts another fighter he usually goes in for the kill which makes him easier to get countered and hit with a good shot

                      The same applies for Maidana.

So, I was talking about if Maidana gets hurt he goes into beast mode, you seem to be talking about how a fighter can get too careless looking for the ko and walk onto a counter shot. Nothing to do with my post whatsoever.
