what happens if canelo comes in at 154lbs

say if canelo did what floyd did to JMM and came in 2lbs over the agreed catchweight. What would happen, would they cancel the fight or would canelo get a financial penalty, would mayweather sr fear for his sons life.

He would get fined a billion gazillion dollars for every ounce over 152 by the Catchweight King.

There'll be some sort of (ridiculously huge) financial penalty, I wouldn't even be surprised if Floyd refused to fight.

The 2 pounds is not the point to Floyd in choosing the catchweight, Canelo will rehydrate to whatever he naturally is regardless. The point is that he puts in extra work during training camp, and extra work the day before cutting the weight

He gets fined, GBP pays it, and fight goes on.

Oh and Floyd haters will then come up with new excuse IF canelo loses. Big IF cause I think he can do it. I would prefer more big fights under his belt but he wants it so......

Actually, since he has to weigh in 2 pounds less, he'll rehydrate 2 pounds less as well.

the ginger shouldn't make weight (just like cherrypicker didn't bother making weight against JMM) just to piss off cherrypicker. they'll pay a fine but the fight will go on.

Canelo needs to be lighter if hes going to compete with Floyds handspeed.

After months of promotion, weeks of training camp, I doubt it. If he cancels the fight, he does NOT get paid.

I think Canelo should try his luck and come in at 154. Hell he is only 22, he has a decade left to make money. It's not like this will be his cash out fight.
