Mayweather, cw queen, will use his bike on this one. He won't stand in front of Canelo like he did in the Cotto fight. And that's Cotto's mistake. He had a lot of moments where he let the queen potshot him without moving forward aggressively at every opportunity.

First six rounds is critical, especially when you have issues with stamina. It should be a non-stop pressure with no let up, close to being suicidal. There's no other option. BOTTOM LINE is if you can't drop Mayweather in the first six, you're doomed to losing by UD.

Of course, it doesn't always go according to the game plan. Clinching is another critical factor. SOLUTION: rabbit punch him. If he is allowed to clinch, you should be allowed to rabbit punch. Get dirty, get even.

Now if Nacho was training Canelo that would make the fight a LOT more interesting...

Nacho is just making fellow country man opinion. (one Mexican to another) but he knows Mayweather is too skillful at this point of his career to be caught off guard or by surprised by canelo. Alvarez doesn't do any thing special at all.( walks straight end, fights like Guerrero,no skillful head movement) my point is this: canelo doesnt bring nothing Mayweather has never seen. Floyd will be Floyd, and be the ring technician that he is, wear canelo down 1st mentally then physically then just put on a bigger clinic then he did against Guerrero. Canelo will have his moments at times exciting the Mexican fans mainly even if most of his punches are being block, then Mayweather will continue to find a home for that lead right, and hook, possibly ko' ing ALVAREZ!!!

How many more of these type of guys does FM need to beat before people get it?
            It's another cherry pick.

Let's look at a few guys who actually troubled Floyd.. Even if just for a few rounds.

            Judah
            Mosley
            Burton (Agustus)

Not boxer/punchers.. But rather, quick handed..Light on their feet.. Finesse style fighters.
Guys with similar attributes to Floyd's.

Judah couldn't match Floyd for ring intelligence. It's fun to think about a Judah with more emotional control and higher ring savvy.

Mosley was too old.. Mosley at 135 would have given Floyd his toughest ever fight.

Burton.. Is well.. Burton. Never had a chance.

Canelo has a punchers chance.. If he can do what Castillo and Cotto did but only actually hurt Floyd.. Then maybe we have a fight..
Otherwise Floyd will cruise like he always does against these kinds of guys.
            Who should Floyd fight?

his power is overrated too, he wouldn't KO Floyd with 1 big shot
Floyd's movement will tire him out within 8 rds
Alvarez gets dominated and possibly stopped late
if Floyd doesn't turn old, Alvarez is fucked
Can you give me an outcome for the Maidana vs Lopez fight to see if I should believe you come September?

In the Cotto fight.. Mayweather was sick and you could tell... he had like a cold or something... even said he was feeling under the weather earlier in the week prior to the fight.. but did not want to pull out of the fight.. So comparing the fight with Cotto as saying Mayweather is slowing down is silly... he wasn't 100% healthy and you can tell that if you have seen alot of the mayweather fights... on the other hand Canelo has 2 things... tiene juevos y es 100% mexicano... tira chingadasos Canelo and part te le su madre a este cabron! .... basically this is a good matchup... love both Mayweather and Canelo

Pls explain how? Wasn't he training Marquez when fought a retired Mayweather coming back to the ring after 2 years? LMAO SMH, he trained a very skillful Marquez who lost a lop sided fight and was knocked down in the 2nd rd. that comment should have been thought about first before posting. Just saying

If you thought about your comment before posting (and if you knew your boxing) you would have realized that :

                    1. Marquez has never looked good against other technicians.

                    2. He's smaller, older and slower than Floyd while Canelo is bigger, younger and stronger.

It's not just about the trainer, it's the trainer + fighter combination. Canelo has physical tools that Marquez lacks and technically he's not too shabby either. Nacho is a much better trainer than the guy who currently trains Canelo and if he replaced him he would make Canelo more competitive, it's an obvious statement really.
