I can only imagine if Floyd would've threw 150 out there had it not been for Canelo saying he'd be willing to drop to that weight for a Floyd fight in the past.

Either way, fights made, Floyd's a hypocrite and Canelo will get his chance to super stardom if he wins.

The Catchweight King title was including the body of requests Floyd made which it looks like one request at 147 and two Catchweight requests, 150, and then 152.

I guess that makes Canelo a catchweight king also to counter at 152 as it was said in the article. Both sides are ok with the weight so what's the problem. If Canelo wasn't comfortable with it then he could call Floyd a chicken and clean out the division. I think there will be more coming out on this as time goes on.

the fight is at 152.............and anyone who knows about business (who has a job and a life off of krikya360.com) would know that negotiation doesn't work like that. you don't just come in and give up your raw number. 147 (team maywather knows golden boy wouldn't accept that) so you keep shooting upwards in till you meet at 152. it's not about the first number you throw out there, it's about how far you move the guy from his original stance that makes you comfortable. (in this case 152)

            this is simple negotiating tactics.

you guys have takin this weight thing way too far. to hilarious proportions.........

150 is way too low for Canelo IMO. 152 isn't 154 but hey we got a fight at a weight both fighters are ok with.

In a recent article on krikya360.com, Canelo stated that both sides budged a little on the weight.

The two sides agreed on a catch-weight of 152-pounds, but Reynoso says it wasn't easy.

I predict this revelation will change little. We have a new narrative working its way into the boxing consciousness. First Floyd was scared but he made the fight, now its this 152/catch-weight stuff. I think the reason you're seeing Canelo and his trainer coming out and saying this stuff is because they realize it could hurt the bottom line of this fight, money.

I'm sure these guys never guessed so many would be as unreasonable as they're being, this is damage control so to speak. We have some boxing fans that are way nuttier than Michele Bachmann and the "Tea Party."

Something to ***** about...If it wasn't for that they would actually have to talk boxing. I wish the fight would have been May 5 for the build up but hey we got a fight!

And the catchweight nonsense thickens. Both have junior middleweight belts. Here's a novel idea: CONTEST THEM AT JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT..
