Why does it always have to be HOF/ATG and come down to a **** measuring contest? I genuinely find it pathetic when people/fans of the sport have to go back several decades to try prove a point.

There is no denying both guys have solid whiskers. Now we'll play your game, name me better super middleweights that have fought at world level with better chins.
    All Time Great Chin.

Ahem, you need to fight huge punchers to be considered someone with an ATG chin.

Say good chin, even great chin, but don't use the word ATG so lightly.

Bute is an OK puncher. However he has bad whiskers at a high level. Ahem Andrade.

Abraham is a good puncher at 160. Look at his career at 168... he has lost how many?

Taylor is far from a puncher and his career was down hill from Pavlik.

They both have brilliant chins, but ATG, please.

It's a bitter pill to swallow for the TS. Froch may have the talent that the TS states, but there is something more to fighters than this cheap thread. This was my last post. He baited a couple of us and got to vent, but reality will set in once the responses cease, lmao!
I am a Pac fan, lol! Try prove it!

I just can't put him p4p next go guys like Guillermo, Ward, Floyd, Wlad, JMM, Pacman, Mares, Bradley, Hopkins and Sergio. Skill and talent he is not there. Well even his wins are not there. His best win to date is close fight with a worn-out Kessler which he won by two rounds max, that was today.

He just has a great chin and an incredible work ethic and desire too win. His stamina, his chin, his jab, heavy handedness and his awkward style make him hard for anybody to overcome.
The problem is most guys don't actually train for a guy with such a style.I do get what you're saying. He is not as technically sound or as gifted as some but hes a fighter with tools you can't teach that makes it work for him but I do think its unfair saying Kessler is worn out, lets see how he bounces back at least? Right now I feel he is the third best in a rather deep division and there is no shame there. I still feel Kessler has a good bit left in the tank.

I mean Margarito has more skill than him in both defense and offense. If only Kessler weren't a washed up fighter like that. The Kessler from the Zaghe fight obliterates Froch and right now Ward will knock him out. The boxing Gods must be looking over Froch cause he is one of the worst I've ever seen talent and skill wise. He makes Danny Garcia look like Floyd.
            Terrible contribution to this forum.

You clearly don't know what to watch for. Yes, froch is slow but he has a solid jab and controls distance well. He also puts his punches together well. Froch isn't even my favorite fighter but I'll defend him at any time. He's fought everyone and usually comes out on top. Not to mention he has a great chin. Kessler has pop and Froch walked through everything. I think the word you may be looking for is unorthodox/nonconventional. I prefer to use beast though.

Good observation! I was thinking that Kess was a little worn out because of how he would react to punches. Even light punches like a jab or grazing shots it seemed like he was losing his balance making the impact of those shots seem that much more severe. It was weird I think Jim for once was right on the money when he alluded to that or was it Max. Anyway, Carl is very good but he is still to chop down somebody really well respected in the boxing community in the same manner that Mayorga did Forrest back in the day lol.

Taylor has deceptive power, remember he is the only guy to drop not only Froch but Pavlik and if memory serves me he dropped Pavlik a few times. He also buzzed B-Hop. He is a deceptive puncher, a bit like Kendall Holt.

I'd seriously go as far as saying Froch has an ATG chin, its at the very least granite and just about as good as it gets on any level and Kessler too has one hell of a beard. I mean both guys are heavy handed and tonight I am sure we can both agree, they took some monster shots that would of took out pretty much any other guy around the weight.

to put froch on the p4p list, you can't look at his style or skills... you just have to go on his resume

Unconventional in the amount of punches he can absorb without blinking, yes! Beastly - let's not get carried away with the Bute victory. He hasn't really knocked anybody down or hurt anybody bad except for Bute in his past few fights.
