Comments Thread For: Schaefer Calls Bull**** on Mayweather-Canelo Weight Issue

Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions, advised krikya360.com that various parties not directly involved in the ongoing negotiations are spreading misinformation as it relates to the details of a potential fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs).

Schaefer is working behind the scenes trying to finalize an agreement for a Mayweather-Canelo showdown on September 14th.

Tell this to Floyd Sr., not the fans.

I hope Schaeffer's right, and it's all BS.

Please make the fight, that's all I ask. I won't ever criticize Floyd again, IF the fight goes down.

like i said, everyone makes fun of SR call him a crackhead but then they want to take his word as long as it fits their agenda to call floyd a duck

The trainers for both fighters say the exact same thing:

"I don't know why people make this stuff up!"

                  Um, what?

Hope I'm wrong on this one and the fight does take place at 154. But I'm sure the Floyd naysayers will now start their Canelo is too inexperienced campaign pretty soon
