    New rule!!!!!

It should be a rule in boxing that random drug testing should be done in any event few weeks prior to the fight!!! this makes it a lot more even, dissencourages many fighters to not take ped's and makes it look like the committe isnt favoring a fighter over another one like in this case, broner is overrated I dont think beating Paulie will prove him elite so if he wants to prove himself this is the first name fight and the last tune up one

Yes, there were technicalities that made the whole process less than transparent.

Which makes the whole VADA vs USADA argument funny.

Because with VADA testing for Peterson-Khan, the only person who actually knew Lamont tested positive on the A sample was Lamont himself, smh. Everybody else found out about a week and half before the fight.

it's all part of a privacy/confidentiality agreement with the fighter...

They caught a 'cheater' -- yes. And yes, that is a good thing. VADA kept silent about it due to inexperience. When the stakes are high like that, the Promoter(s) have to be notified because there is just too much money at stake. This is the business of boxing first and foremost they are involved with. Notifying the proper parties is just as important as the testing for results. If there is no money to be made, there can be no fight in the first place. And Golden Boy didn't lose a little money -- they lost A LOT of money.

Why? I guarantee you, if Floyd had been using VADA, there would be even more controversy because VADA does not publish results themselves. You cannot just Google and find out the results of their past tests with fighters. With Floyd's fights though, USADA has published the results of each fight on their website, dating back to the fight with Mosley. They also list the specific dates they were tested on -- VADA does no such thing.

I'm pretty sure they'll post the results for the Guerrero fight soon, maybe in a couple weeks or so. And you can also write USADA directly demanding the results too, because many fans have done so in the past.

golden boy bought off the judges in the cano fight and landed him a millionaire dollar payday that he doesn't deserve and this is how he repays them? out of all the fights that have been cancelled recently why couldn't it be this one!

              You are WRONG..as usual..
USADA wasnt even created when Marion Jones doped herself into winning her gold medals..at that time they had WADA doing the testing, not USADA..it wasnt even established until the afterwards..so get your facts straight!..js

I have 2 main problems with USADA. 1) they dont fork over test results to the commissions for action. Their contracts with GBP stipulate that they hand over results directly to the promotor. Which is a HUGE conflict of interest. Furthermore their protocol for testing B samples and even C samples (as USADA likes to make up) is not an attempt to identify a false positive but a second chance at getting the fighter to test clean for the promotor. See Morales vs Garcia for the famed 3rd chance at passing a drug test. Secondly, although they use the same UCLA labs as VADA their ratios for a dirty test are less stringent than VADA. In other words under their current protocols given the same tests USADA can pass a fighter as not dirty (enough) where as with VADA the same sample would be ID'd as dirty. If you all did your research you'd see how there is no comparison between the 2 testing bodies. 1 is efficient and catches fighters at a much higher rate than the other. Hint, the more established of the 2 is terrible at busting cheaters. Fact, not opinion.

Doesn't matter how much money was lost, what matters is that the testing worked and and that ultimately Khan was not put in an unsafe fight. That's what they paid them for. And I'm sure VADA was running further testing to be absolutely sure before notifying the GBP and it had nothing to do with inexperience. VADA has done a terrific job in every fight they've been a part of so far and should be applauded. The only people that seem to have a problem with them are the cheaters who get caught, fans of the cheaters who get caught and now GBP for not giving them enough time to get their damage control plan together.. Boo f'n hoo.

funny how within 2 years we've gone from "let the commission do their job...Floyd is not the commission..NSAC does their own testing"...to "VADA vs USADA"...Floyd sure has some type of pull I guess..Pac is even jumping on the bandwagon now...

                      Did Broner-DeMarco testing ever happen?

Maxboxing’s Gabriel Montoya investigates the bizarre situation whereby USADA testing was scheduled for the 3 weeks leading into the Broner-DeMarco fight, but, to the bewilderment of those involved, inexplicably never carried out.

Do GBP not want Broner tested?
