Floyd has SR in his corner and is looking better than ever. Defense is top notch. Potential fight between Floyd and Canelo as Canelo not being able to land anything significant early and then gassing down the stretch. Boring UD for Mayweather because Floyd will be defensive. I would love to see the fight though. Especially since Canelo is asking for it.

In the last fight vs Trout, he drastically improved from his previous fights. Showed tremendous defense, head movement, and patience. In one sequence I saw trout miss 9 punches and landing 1 grazing punch due to Canelos head movement. Canelo hadn't demonstrated that before.

he didn't show tremendous defense against trout to me. his defense was below average...his head movement was good in spots but that only lasted for about 10 seconds of the of 3 rounds. and trout many times wasn't trying to land. he would just flick out punches to keep canelo honest & canelo would move his head just for show

good timing, good power, and then gasses. thats mostly what i saw in that fight.

Ofcourse he wants it. Floyd Mayweather is "free money" for Canelo. There is no shame at all in loosing to Floyd Mayweather. He gets his biggest payday and he gets to keep his fanbase as well. But if he looses to Lara or some other stiff first he looses his biggest payday and his fanbase could bail on him. Its a win-win situation. An absolute no brainer if you ask me.
