How refreshing to hear a fighter being honest! Bare in mind most fighters be they chicken or whatever would jump at the chance to face Mayweather purely for the money, Marquez gave it a go, lost but maintained some credibility by going the distance with a bigger guy and now is honest about the fight - he knows Floyd is better than him and would win again. He is saving the fans from being short changed. The hype machine would be pumping, replay after replay of his Manny KO being shown, talk of how he is now a Real WW ect ect would sell the fight - You would buy into it and u know it!

Wtf im not making this s**t up theres a video post mayweather vs guerrero where marquez is asked about a rematch with floyd and he clealry says what occured with promoter and mayweather left him bothered and does not want to deal with that and that he sees no point in the rematch. Im arguing the facts and the fact is he says that. This is why Marquez is my favorite boxer and P4P #2.. He keeps it 100% and honestly in my opinion the only fight he ever loss was against Mayweather the rest were robberies. Marquez is supremely intelligent and makes adjustments when necessary the only fighter in the game that does it better is Mayweather who is younger and bigger than Marquez.

It infuriates me how this Pacquiao fans do not realize their boy been outboxed every fight and given gift decisions. No one seems to appreciate the intangibles Marquez brings to the game, his tenacity, mental fortitude, and using weird angles and timing along with distance to put on boxing clinics. Marquez weighed the same for the Floyd fight as he did for Pac/Marquez IV which 143. Floyd came in at 146, which is 2 pounds above what they agreed upon. Pac came in at the 147 limit against Marquez.

There isn't anyone that Manny beat worth mentioning that Floyd didn't first.

Manny didn't have to fight, Corrales, Gatti, Judah, Hernandez, Corley, or Castillo who came in as a Welter against Floyd both times.

Floyd beat Oscar at 154, Cotto at 154, Hatton undefeated, Mosley after he dominated Margarito, Victor Ortiz off fight of the year, and Guerrero who is the 3rd ranked Welter.

No matter the 4 pound weight advantage he toyed with Marquez as well.

Floyd gets penalized for being too good. When he dominates fighters that would give any other fighter a problem, its considered cherry picking.

What he does better than anyone else is make his opponents gun shy. Not KO power but enough power to make his opponents respect him. Its simple human trial and error. If you do something, and the outcome is severe punishment without any reward, you dont wanna do it anymore.

He's clearly more of a WW now than when he fought Floyd and he has bulked up in a smarter manner, he's also hitting harder it seems so it would be a closer run thing but the speed and more importantly style issues are all still there and Juan knows it. It would be another CLEAR win for Floyd im afraid and as a Marquez fan im glad he dont want it. I can accept my boy lost to the better fighter

Marquez is a man of respect. It takes a lot to admit someone is better than you (especially years after the fight). Most fighters would say what was different then...this, this, and that and how the fight would be different now.
