In an era with guys like Audley Harrison, heavyweight champions fighting ex sparring partners, ex-greats fighting into their mid-40s just to pay outstanding tax bills, to label a fighter who consistently mixes it with world class opposition "the biggest joke in the sport of boxing" is obnoxious.

Amir Khan is a flawed fighter. It will take a couple of years with Virgil Hunter to iron out the serious flaws. Maybe Khan might be ready to face Floyd towards the end of this 6 fight showtime deal. A less reckless Khan who doesn't drop his hands before throwing will present more of a threat to Mayweather than most other fighters.

Still, I want Floyd to fight Pacquiao. I'm not particularly interested in seeing him fight anybody else except for perhaps Canelo who is too big.

Floyd will probably take it. Easy money for him. Plus he'll be closer to fighting without facing Pacquiao.

Timing beats speed and Floyd is the best in timing....Amir Khan needs to shut his as$ up and train in the gym and do his homework instead of driving around C class benzs. Honestly, I'm a fan of Amir Khan but if he wants to beat Floyd, he better smarten up and become a student of the game, not just a fighter, but a STUDENT of the game.

This would be one of the most entertaining fights of Mayweathers career... everyone knows that Khan never been in a boring fight.. Make it happen, I will tune in for sure even though Mayweather should stop Khan within 6 unless Khan actually uses his skills in the correct way.

Great point. When Floyd fought Marquez, Floyd tested Marquez' chin early in the fight and Marquez' chin failed test. He go knocked down and the fight wasn't even competitive after that. Guerrero takes a better punch than Marquez probably because Marquez is smaller.

Golden Boy Promotions is staging an internal junior welterweight tournament. On May 18th, Lucas Matthysse (33-2, 31KOs) will face IBF champion Lamont Peterson (31-1-1, 16KOs). The winner of the match will take on WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) on September 7th - and the winner of that match will be positioned to face Khan.

This guy just lost to Julio Diaz, how is he gonna beat Mayweather? His chin is a huge liability... I think even Mayweather stops him.

lemme get this straight... khan woulda been KOd by julio diaz if the ref wasn't instructed to protect khan, but mayeather won't be able to stop him? do you and khan sniff the same ish? you think the referee is gonna help khan if they ever fight (which is the biggest LOL that would happen in the history of boxing, btw). khan wouldnt last 4 rounds. lets see how khan does in a fight against a real contender and not a referee thats there to help him every step of the way. julio diaz = floyd mayweather

Floyd ain't stopping Khan. It will be a UD.

Another thing Khan is forgetting is that Floyd is the smartest fighter in Boxing right now. AND he is the most skillful. AND he has a lot of experience now.

                      Khan's Smarts: Not good.
Khan's Skills: Good. But not the best
                      Experience: Nope

Amir should work on his smarts, skills and experience before fighting Floyd. He has a lot of homework to do. I don't think he will do it...

As talented as Amir is, his lack of work ethic will never make him an all time great. Hall of famer maybe but ATG, nah.
