Comments Thread For: Mayweather Sr. Scouts Guerrero's Fights, Not Impressed

It’s fight week in Las Vegas, as the boxing world turns its attention to this weekend’s clash between WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather and interim champion Robert Guerrero.

Mayweather (43-0, 26 KO’s) faces Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KO’s) on Saturday night from the MGM Grand in a Showtime pay per view clash that very well may end up being more entertaining than expected.

One of the subplots heading into the fight has been the addition of Mayweather’s father Floyd Sr. into his camp in an effort to add a few more wrinkles to his game.

And despite the always-hectic nature that has come in advance of another big event

Let's be honest here, the only reason Floyd Sr. is back in Mayweather's corner is to oppose the father, son relationship the Guerrero's have. The guy is just burning up inside with jealousy and hates the fact Guerrero has a father who has been by his side his whole career.

And looking back how great of a trainer is Senior. He trained Oscar who by the time who already world champion. Dawson who dropped his azz. He poorly trianed Hatton for Pac-man and got him knocked out. I apologize for my ignorance but who excatly has Senior trained in the past decade to deserve the accolade "Best Trainer in the Game" the old man knows what's up. He saw tape of Guerrero and knows Floyd is in for the fight of his life.

And my post did say within the last decade, but still even if you were to count him training Mayweather Jr. it still wouldn't warrent him being called "The Best Trainer in the Game Today"

Well Chad Dawson drops a lot of trainers, but I don't think anyone can deny that Chad Dawson looked his best with Senior.

Best trainer in the game, maybe an over statement, but real good trainer who knows his s**t, right on point.

Floyd Mayweather announced that his father would be his lead trainer way back in November/December, before the Guerrero fight was officially announced. Dig through FightHype, the interview is there.

I thought Oscar looked really good with Sr. He was using his jab more and boxing more.

Sr is good but not one of the best.

No sh it he didnt see anything impressive thats why Floyd took this fight to begin with duh! Tell us something we dont know SR.

Guerrero's best weapons for this fight are his chin and self-belief.
