It’s well known that rumors in the boxing world spread like wildfire.
The latest bit of intrigue circulating around several forums and various social-networking sites claims that reigning WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner recently had a rough go of it in sparring with talented 2012 Olympian Errol Spence Jr.
The incident reportedly took place at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, where Spence, a junior middleweight prospect with a 4-0 (3) record, has been spotted training ahead of his May 3rd showcase at the Cosmopolitan Resort Casino.
The only problem with that rumor is that Broner doesn’t train at the gym when he is in Vegas these days, as he instead has been spotted simply soaking up the atmosphere inside of the building the last few times he was in town.
Catching up with Spence, he dispelled the notion that he and Broner had gone rounds recently in Vegas.
“We didn’t spar at all,” claimed the 23-year old southpaw.
