Are people infuriated by Canelo's win Reverse Racists?

Look, I'm not racist against anybody, but I think it's undeniable in this case that people make Trout to be a victim of some unbelievable robbery.

My Twitter feed was full of boxing names I know to be reverse-racist types, not going to name name's but one is a promoter that does pretty well on the New York scene and was a known big ***** supporter that went to Harvard. Not trying to inject politics, just trying to draw a connection.

Their line of thinking - Pernell Whitaker lost to JCC in Texas, so there was no way Trout was going to win a decision. So basically all Trout had to do was throw at least 700 punches most of them flick jabs, and they would have already have decided that Austin Trout was the victim of some grand, corrupt scheme. Like good members of the progressive community, they do this to feel better about themselves, they think they're crusading reformers, or something.

This is furthered by the fact that Saul is a red-headed, white-looking Mexican.

And I happen to like Austin Trout. I think he's a good, humble man. But that's not how you judge a boxing fight, either.

It's all based on the peoples perception of how fights are scored....that and texas is awful when it comes to favoring mexican fighters, who generally lose. Look I thought canelo won the fight... 114-113. The right man won, the problem comes when looking at the score cards and that one in particular. It was abhorrent. It's not reverse racism when it's usually true in Texas that's how scoring works, there was no way Trout was going to win a decision without scoring some KDs. Even though I thought he still lost, it was a lot closer than it seemed.

You never know. Some people are literally running a smear campaign on Canelo, despite Trout admitting he was outclassed. Trout won 3 rounds on my scorecard. Being extremely generous, I gave him 4 rounds.

It's a combination of reverse racism and Mayweather-***ualism that is fueling the outpouring of Trout-robbery theories. Trout himself admitted quite clearly that he was beaten by the faster, stronger fighter. He could have just said he had an off night, congratulations to Canelo and leave it at that. He didn't, he gave reasons and explanations for why Canelo was better. I don't know why I'm surprised by the utter idiocy of the "slick boxer" fans, it's par for the course, but I still am shocked.

Yeah the fight was close, acceptable scores in my view go from Canelo by two points to Trout by one, remember boxing is subjective, the most pathetic scores I've seen have been by Bad Left Hook and Sweet Science people, I've seen scores on that site that had it 116-111 Trout, keep in my those are both sites that back Top Rank openly even going as far as to make jokes about Oscar, most of those fans are white. I'm black by the way and I'm pro-Canelo because the sport needs him after a brutal 6 years of Pacquiao and Mayweather attempting to destroy it.

              I'm black as well, and I'm not even pro-Canelo. I'm just pro-rationality and pro-honesty.

I think the horrendously wide scoring or inevitable "robbery" Trout was going to suffer had more to do with Canelo being a future "cash cow" than with Trout being black. The same thing would've happened anywhere, the only reason the fight was held in Texas was because of the big Mexican population- Canelo's main fan base. Either way if these reverse racists feel that way FUCK EM !

I see a double standard for Floyd vs Pacquiao and I think some people take it out on Canelo
