Okay, The Problem was getting touched up a bit by Gavin Rees, so what? Gavin Rees underrated mayne, former champion. Okay, so he was only 5'2 and has the reach of stunted Trex...but, ah, the boy AB LET Rees hit him! Yeah, that's the ticket...

he certainly does get hit more than pretty boy floyd and jim toney

Hate to disappoint some of you but:

— Errol Spence (@ErrolSpenceJr)
This Story Was BULL****, Seems like this was a Spam Job for a guy to get views for his site and listeners for his show....IT WORKED! Great Promotion for Spence though!Last edited by sicko; 04-21-2013, 08:54 PM.

broner has very good if not great defense, the reason he gets hit as much as he does is his approach. hes a search and destroy fighter, when you put so much emphasis on offense your defense is bound to suffer.
for a guy who spends much of the fight in the pocket, with is feet planted, throwing bombs and putting his shots together he doesnt get hit much at all. that broner can be so aggressive and not get hit more is a credit to his defense because most fighters with that style get hit significantly more.
also, whenever he does decide to box and be more defensive he barely gets touched. some of the perceived leaks in his D are by design, broner is very clever and an excellent counter puncher. he likes to think a step ahead of his opponent, set traps and catch them when they least expect it.
