Rios CLEARLY lost. I had him losing 8 rounds easy. People on here are more clueless than the real judges, which is pretty sad.

Whatever man you guys cant deny that was some close close rounds so how can I not score for **** if I gave most of them to Rios? He may of not been dictating the pace but he was putting hands on Alvarado and Mike didnt like it thats why he was running all over the place. And the crowd did him all the favors in the world and did Rios no favors.
Mike had a good gameplan and he ALMOST followed it. But he got ****** into tight exchanges A LOT too and I saw Rios as the better brawler. Rios was also landing the jab and all his punches were short and stiff. I saw them as more powerfull than Alvarado's which would sometimes snap Rios' head back but thats about it.
Although Mike was landing some nice combos on the inside - uppercuts/hooks. I might of even scored the fight 7-5 Rios. Many of the rounds were close, if I go back and rewatch the fight it may decide it is even 6-6. But my gut instinct when watching the fight was 8-4 Rios. I wasnt letting the pro Alvarado crowd dissuade me.Last edited by killamoneymike; 03-31-2013, 12:12 AM.

Every single time there's a big fight you can count on two things.
1.) There will be a handful of assh*les who can't properly score a bout who will insist that the loser was actually the winner.
and
2.) The aforementioned assh*les will then attempt to justify their ****ty scorecards by insinuating that - despite not even knowing which broadcast(s) the users who scored it for the winner viewed - everybody who scored it for the actual victor was somehow subtlely influenced by either...
A.) The crowd reactions to the punches thrown.
or
B.) The color commentary.
Typically, you can count two things happening when this event occurs.
1.) A more acerbic user (such as myself) will then call them on their bull**** outright, and publicly ridicule them for being such a thickheaded **** in the first place.
and
2.) The ridiculed user will then ask (or demand, in some cases) that the user(s) whom they diagree with subject themselves to watching the fight again in either slow-motion speed, or without commentary enabled, while providing a second-by-second round-by-round breakdown in order to justify their scorecards.
Of course, those of us with more than a few dozen fully functioning brain cells will never fall victim to such a fool's errand, but it's still infuriating to see that this is the standard level of conversation that takes places on this forum.
And you pricks wonder why I never post in NSB anymore.

After the 6th or 7th it was hard for me to give Rios a round. There was a close round there somewhere but I can't remember which one it was. That's why I said 8-4 if you wanna be nice to Rios.
