You guys don't know boxing obviously beating a guy thats ready to retire that normally fights 154 in a stay busy fight boosts you from outside the top 10 P4P list straight to the top. Roger Mayweather needs to have a word with all of y'all

I'm surprised he isn't in the Hall of fame yet. They should start a new award just for him.
I can't believe he beat Ishida, Shocked the whole world.

I mean I don't like Floyd but at least having Ward as my pfp is reasonable. This guy, he had to go and pick GGG just cause he ko's bums.

I thought Pacquiao and Maywether had crazy fans (not all of them obviously I mean the hardcore worshippers) But GGG's new fanboys (not all as most like him) Are really in need of help lmao

I don't think he has even done anything to warrant P4P status but he has the potential to do it and with performances like the one yesterday,it's no wonder dudes are not wiling to fight him. If he can convince a guy like Ward to man up and quit trying to cherry pick, he could beat him and snatch the p4p #1 spot in one single fight.

Ward likes having the advantages and he would likely see 3G as being disadvantaged by having to move up even though Golovkin has already fought and destroyed top 168 pound fighters in his career. Ward would think he would be getting an easy fight only to have his career ended. If he destroyed Ward, he would easily be P4P top 2 at least.

I'm a fan of GGG but I don't think beating Ishida warrants a p4p ranking.

Guys in the P4P spots are usually explosive and/or dynamic. Golovkin is just a powerful, strong fighter with solid skills and a great amateur background. Textbook stuff. Not really above and beyond or anything. He's just great at what you're supposed to be great at, but not superhero type stuff. He also hasn't beaten anyone in the P4P spots to merit being placed there (a la Marquez).

Come on man, I really appreciate your posts usually but this GGG riding is too much for me. GGG has done nothing at all to suggest he'd even be competitive with Ward, and it made me sad to see you posted in a couple of other threads that GGG would destroy him. Whatever GGG did in the amateurs, great. But that doesn't mean he'd beat them in a professional match... they just don't translate like that. Bute v GGG at 168? No idea who'd win. Just because Froch TKO'd Bute, doesn't mean GGG is going to. I'd have to see GGG in a legit top 168 match. We haven't even seen him in a top 160 match yet...

If he KO'd Froch easily, i'd agree maybe he'd destroy Ward. I dunno what you can throw back to suggest he can do that as of now though, Ward outclasses his opposition every single time.... in the case of Froch, with 1 hand.

Personally, I like GGG. Potential is there. I feel his downfall may be his lack of proper head movement. Put him in with a granite chinned fighter like Froch, or Kessler, or a very versatile fighter like Bute, I really can't see anything good for him. I think he'll remain at 160 for a long time
