Comments Thread For: Bob Arum Talks Pacquiao, Bradley, Rios-Alvarado II

This weekend’s rematch between Brandon Rios and Mike Alvarado is simply the kind of fight that doesn’t need any further hype or special kind of explanation.

Facing off later tonight inside of the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas in an HBO-televised attraction, Rios and Alvarado will look to again thrill the masses just as they did this past October.

Meeting in the squared circle for the first time inside of the Home Depot Center in Carson, California five months back, Rios and Alvarado hacked away at each other round after round in breathtaking fashion.

In the sixth round, Rios appeared to hurt Alvarado for the first time and it was one frame later where he finished him off along the ropes, as referee Pat Russell jumped in to save the Denver, Colorado native from any further punishment.

Speaking with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum about the rematch, he admitted that these kind of fights are the foundation for which his company was built upon, also referencing the full-throttle action between Timothy Bradley and Ruslan Provodnikov two weekends back.

Arum is greedy... Pac is done... once the chin is cracked like that it's never the same. Arum needs Rios to beat Pac so Rios can carry on the torch, since JMM is close to retirement himself

Rios ain't carrying no torch, the guy uses his face for defense.
The first real power puncher gonna knock him out.

We should have Marquez vs Bradley and Pacquiao vs Prodkorov.
Tired of Marquez vs Pacquiao, it's been settled decisively finally.
As long as JMM maintains his new 1 punch KO power he will beat Pacquiao.
Plus because of this feud we haven't seen Marquez face any other big name fighters. I want to see how he's going to handle some of the other top guys at WW.

Read the article. you moron, god you haters will just jump on anything?

he said it is worse taking a pro longed beating rather than a 1 punch knockout

he says you are more likely to recover from a 1 punch knock out than a long beating.

If you had any boxing knowledge you would know that by now.

Pacquaio vs Bradley 2 is what i'd like to see..since both are coming off being hurt severely it would be interesting bounce back fights for both. I'd like to see Marquez vs Rios and see who Heredia decides to work with for the bout. Even better Ruslan vs JMM since JMM has lost some hand speed this would be a bolo punch fight from hell for both men.
