Mayweather wasn't even on PPV when Prince managed him, he's talking about the gate. Floyd didn't do horrible gate, but he was no big pull. so Prince is somewhat on point.

generally speaking, i'm with Prince on this one. Ward's remarks were respectful and not intended to arouse Floyd's ire. Floyd's remarks were petty.

J Prince responded out of self preservation, not genuine concern for his "friend" Andre Ward. Floyd only stated the truth. Ward is a gold medalist, a great fighter, has a tv friendly image and still isn't well known outside of boxing circles. That is indicative of poor management, plain and simple. J knows this, hence the straw man argument about Broner and Floyd not being able to be around "real men," whatever that means.

He's a rap music mogul that supposedly built his label off drug money. He's the CEO of Rap-A-Lot records out of Houston. The label has produced a bunch of platinum and gold albums.

He's heavy in the streets. A real life boss. The feds were trying to shut him down for years. They had him on surveillance and he ended up donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to Al Gore's presidential campaign to get them off his back.

One time, a rapper on his label was kidnapped by Master P, who was a multi-platinum selling artist and a wealthy multi-million dollar rap mogul in his own right. Master P actually called J Prince and asked permission to murder the guy because he didn't want to get on J Prince's bad side. He ended up letting him go.

Prince is a big boxing fan and owns a gym in Houston. He was also managing several boxers in the 90s. Early in Floyd's career he signed to J. Prince. Some **** went down and Floyd wanted out of his contract. I don't know full details but Prince wouldn't go away until he got his money. He showed up to Floyd's boxing gym, with a gang of dudes strapped to the core and had the entire gym shook. I think Arum ended up cutting Prince a step aside check.

Other than that you hear a lot of other stories. Him sending goons out to rough up rival record labels, making his artists pay up and other street ****.

Now he's just involved with the church, does a lot of community work and runs his gym in Houston. But as you can see, this is a guy you do not want to **** with.

Yeah right bra if floyd was a super middleweight he wouldn't even fight ward. He would clearly duck his a$$ and fight guys like groves and bika.

                Brutal.

I just hope Ward leaves it alone himself. Let other people say what they want, but Ward shouldn't say anything.

Floyd would find a way not to fight him.

Broner just has a casual fan friendly style (offensive, looks for a knockout), that's why I think he will continue to be successful.

Ward maybe a good/great fighter, but he will end up like Hopkins. Just not appealing to the casuals; that's just the way it is.
