He feeds the ignorance, it's the sign of the times. You go back tot he 60's and you had athletes that were more conscious about social issues. Now you have athletes worried about "swag".
Kids like the ignorance? Where do you posters see this stuff at? I'd sure like to read some of these posts.

Broner has some growing up to do yeah but in the ring he comes to fight and looks for the KO. Kid has had 26 fights and all but 4 ended with a stoppage. Some fans believe it or not really like the kid and will root for him based on how he fights.

Some of you boxing fans wouldn't had any fighters to follow in the 60's, 70's, 80's etc You should know that. So the kid isn't a choir boy who ****in cares? We've had plenty of those in boxing.

So it's working for him. That's why he's doing it (plus, he is immature so it comes natural to him). They have advisors and managers and they know that all this negative and positive attention is reflected on their TV numbers. Mayweather set the example, with this new era of dumb kids and Broner's exploiting it.

As far as Bossy claming that Broner will never be like Mayweather, that's just an opinion with no real basis. Which doesn't surprice me as she don't shit about boxing anyway. From a boxing perspective, Broner has a lot of future if he stays dedicated in camp.

Why do people need to personally like an athlete that will never know on a personal level?

I can really care less what a person says or does outside the ring besides messing with kids, old people or mentally or physically disabled people. I don't need to get into their personality to root for them. They just need to perform in a manner that I like for me to root for them.

You don't see any of these posts? Really? LOL do you read the posts in this place, half the posts here are about race and other ignorant nonsense.

I don't care if he's not a choir boy, that has nothing to do with my post. It's just you're generation is the dumbest generation ever to exist on planet earth, sorry if that hurts you're feelings. You have no social conscious, no identity and the only thing you care about is yourselves. Now that may not be you specifically but I'm just generalizing. Broner is a product of the society we have created in this generation and kids love it.

            ****** is the new cool.

Broner is far from proven, is he a good fighter...yes but he has his flaws. He also hasn't fought great comp to be considered one of the best lb 4 lb fighters in the world like most are rating him.

I'm not hating on him as a fighter, I just find it hard to listen to him and it's a little embarrassing to be honest but hey, it's like you said, the kids love it.

Oh don't get me wrong putting him anywhere close to the P4P list is dumb right now and those who do are really just casual fans. I however see the potential, he's a great finisher, he has evolved in every fight. He can only get better. Ignore him outside the ring and he's a really fun fighter to watch.

I really believe he has the tools to be up there, he just has to keep doing what he's doing and he'll eventually get there.

You get no argument from me btu you have to admit, look at the art from just 30 years ago to now and you will see where the minds of the youth are at today.

There's still a lot of great stuff today, but it's been pushed to the fringe by this type of mentality that Broner goes into everytime someone puts a mic in his face. I get it though, it gets attention.

Ali got attention by talking trash, but at least he was articulate and stood for something.

I can't argue that, like I said, I separate my personal feelings from rating him as a fighter. He has incredible natural skills, just like Mayweather but both are annoying to listen to and come off as ignorant to the point of embarrassment.

Even though Maywaether is maturing I must admit.

More times than not, it is the fighter that they dislike.

I don't condone some of the things that some boxers do. But, why be so concerned about anything other than what goes on inside the ring? Why is it so hard to just tune in to watch a fight and be entertained. None of that affects anyone on here directly.
How doesn't their personality or behaviour outside of the ring effect the way people view them? Tell me which fighter you favour that NEVER gives a post fight interview, participates in a faceoff, or doesn't involve themselves in **** talking?

The fact is they make their personal lives a topic of conversation because they want to be a draw. Whether they choose to act like a walking car crash or not, this is what happens when someone becomes famous in any sense of the word.

At 22, Floyd was an accomplished Olympian who kept his nose relatively clean. I don't understand how you think Broner is like Mayweather. Why? Because he uses the shoulder roll and has a larger than life personality?

Please tell me when Floyd not only willfully but deliberately missed weight?
Tell me when in his early career did Floyd display such a disregard for his opponent or complete and utter lack of professionalism? Broner doesn't have the sense to be Floyd.

I've never once said Broner isn't a good fighter. Not once.

But he is not Floyd. He can be groomed, promoted, sold as the next Jesus Christ but he will never be on Floyd's level. Never. I struggle to think that any fighter in Broner's generation will ever reach the elite status that Floyd and Manny have, they are just cut from a different cloth. This is not me being a '****** girl' it is just the way I view things.

As you said, it's MY OPINION. How it is has 'no real basis' well, that's your opinion. I'd love for you to educate me though, tell me exactly why you think Broner is going to be the next carbon copy of Floyd if my opinion holds no weight or is complete off base.

                    I'll wait ...

You just doesn't like me, simple as that.

I could say the sky is blue and you would tell me 'that's just an opinion that holds no basis.'

I guess personal feelings do matter, eh? GTFOH
