Do your ***in Homework, Thurman is a Boxer who just so happen to have One Punch Power, your talking about a guy with a decorated amateur career back in Florida, he has damn good Boxing Skills, Thurman knows how to cut the ring off, uses his Jab and can setup his Power Shots and he mixes up his punches very well...sure he has things he need to work on he is a 24 year old fighter, not even in his PRIME YET

Thurman Would Fold Paulie within 4-6 Rounds Max, this is not a Young Paulie lets be honest here and the reflexes are not the same so he is much more hittable now then he was in his PRIME! Also Thurman is a HUGE and TRUE WELTERWEIGHT, Paulie is really a Light Welterweight
Paulie was never a good fighter to begin with. He's slow and has poor defense. He got outboxed by Ricky Hatton ffs.

You disagreed with me and I disagree with you yet we are both entitled to our opinions and i respect yours. I just don't see how what he did in the amateurs has translated into his pro career. Does he beat Paulie's azz? Absolutely. In terms of amateur career, that doesn't always translate into the pro's and we really haven't seen much of that styling from him as a pro, so that's his own fault. Danny Garcia cuts off the ring, jabs, and throws a closed eyed looping hook..does that make him a boxer? Nope. I personally spoke on his development as a pro to this point, it hasn't progressed as I personally thought it would. Which you disagreed with but yet somehow managed to agree with and re-disagree with by going into "he's not in his prime yet". At 24, with that kind of amateur career leads me to believe he's had trouble adapting to it but time will tell.

Who the **** does this dude think he is? One thing you can't say about Paulie is that hes afraid of another fighter. FOH Keith.

I agree. At first, I was under the impression that he just fought relying on power. However, after watching his last fight, he seemed very relaxed and picked his punches well. Not to say he is a master technician, but he is far from a face forward brawler. Needless to say, Malignaggi is far from a ***** when choosing fights. He was willingly stepped into the lion's den and has never been truly KO'd. Give respect where it's due. Thurman is still unproven in certain aspects, but I am sure he will improve in due time.

He would beat Paulie, but so would a ton of others at 147.

            Wait your turn, kid.

This guy is the only one in this thread that knows what he's talking about.

Did nobody here see the Quintana fight?

That wasn't a come forward power puncher/brawler. That was a skilled boxer puncher in there.

It's such a shame that most boxing message boards are filled with idiots like the ones here. If they weren't I would've left this place and never looked back.

Unfortunately, most boxing fans are ignorant to the bone.

Thurman has a high ring IQ in my eyes and does have good all round skills, but of course is still green and has his flaws also. He's on track to being a real contender, and he's already above paulie on talent level imo. Thurman would whoop him pretty bad and grab an easy title.

Seems like everyone is gunning for Paulie lol.

Stopping Zaveck (32-2, 18 KOs, 1 NC) would amount to a very impressive victory for the heavy-handed, undefeated Thurman, but he hopes it would only be his second-biggest win this year at Barclays Center. If the Paulie Malignaggi-Adrien Broner fight isn’t made for June 22 at Barclays Center, Thurman hopes he gets a shot at the WBA welterweight champion in Malignaggi’s hometown.

Lol @ the guys passionately defending Thurman. he has some talent (decent handspeed, power, physical attributes), but dude is open wider than a hooker's vag, lacks in head movement and other defensive skills.
