Gimnasio del Estado, Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico - David "Tornado" Sanchez captured the WBC Silver super flyweight title by winning a twelve round majority decision over Filipino star Marlon Tapales. Sanchez (22-2-1, 18 KOs) had a tough time with Tapales (21-2, 7 KOs), who did everything possible to upset the odds.
