There's only been 1 fight in recent years that could have gained him the credit you want him to have. He made extra demands instead. Mitchell was a career JWW who went 2-3 in his last 5 fight and 1-1 after Floyd, Judah was at his best at JWW and had just lost to Baldomir and went 2-2 and a NC at WW after the Floyd fight, Baldomirs only notable win at WW was Judah and went 2-3 in his 5 fights after Floyd, Shane was 39yrs old and went 0-2-1 after facing Floyd, Hatton was a career JWW but it was a pretty good win for Floyd at WW not a legit WW though as Hatton never fought at WW again bfore retiring, Marquez was a good win but had just jumped 2 weight classes not a legit WW, Ortiz was a legit WW but got KOd by Josesito in his next outing. He has NO legacy at WW.

I would rather see Floyd fight Alexander over JMM. That is for sure.

More important than who is when.

Judah: A decent win, but he was coming off a loss. That fight lost luster one Judah lost.

Baldomir: A decent win, given Baldomir was coming off beating Judah.

Hatton: Unbeaten and Top 10 P4P. It's basically the 07' equal to Bradley in 2012 when Manny fought him. Good win here for sure.

Marquez: Crap at the time, but given Marquez just beat the #1 WW in Pacquiao, you have to give Floyd his props here. Good win.

Mosley: Yes, he was past prime, it showed in the fight. But, EVERYONE...EVERYONE wanted that fight when it happened. You know that as well as I do. Mosley was coming off stopping Margarito, who'd been deemed the man at 147. Good win.

Ortiz: A decent/solid win at the time. Coming off beating Berto, which was a good win for Ortiz at the time. Solid/decent win.

                    See how easy that was.

How well had those fighters done immediately before and after the Floyd fights? Not 1 accomplished anything of note. Tell me I'm lying. Rankings and titles are cute but we both know not one of those fighters was worth **** nor would they stand a chance against any of the top 50 WWs of the last 30yrs.
