jmm should give pac another fight because that's what pac did for him.....
not to mention that the 4th fight was the most exciting out of the series.....
and jmm should clear his name, fight pac again under ost - show the fans that his new found power was due to proper training......

Of course not. They'd all be saying "Pac finally won decisively so there's no point". There wouldn't be the slightest mention of it. So you really think that the people saying there's no need for it are daft?
Marquez wins decisively though.... the only thing that matters is "Pac won some more rounds and Marquez was bloody! So what if he got KTFO brutally? He won two rounds more than Marquez and that means there must be another fight because Pac was going to win!"
If Pac had knocked Marquez out that bad, everything before would be forgotten. It wouldn't have mattered about any close fights before, it wouldn't matter about Pac getting knocked down, hurt or having lost any rounds. The only thing anyone would be saying, especially the Pac fans, is that Marquez got knocked out and that's that. Finality for once. Marquez would just become a little weird footnote in Pac's career.
As it stands, the opposite happens, and Marquez wins....It's a fluke. It's roids. Pac tripped. He was reckless. Marquez was losing. Pac was going to win. Pac was distracted again. Roach didn't train him properly. Marquez was about to get knocked out.
Come on guys. Recognise it for what it is. Pac lost badly after 4 chances, and 42 rounds to win. If he'd won, there would be no 10 page threads and Marquez wouldn't even be mentioned anymore.
3 fights that ended a draw, and 2 split decision win for Pac. Most media said they won(lets not count the fans, media are more reasonable). But there is a good amount media having Pac won and have a draw. It wasn't a landslide for JMM win on the media. Most said it wasn't a clear win for Pac. But the media said it was no robbery and the fights could have gone either way. Then that means its not a clean win for JMM also.
Now, there has been blame on Pac cuz the 2nd rematch happen 4 years later. But if you look at it, it was JMM who said no because he wanted more on the purse than Pac. After the 2nd fight, Pac keep moving up in weight till the WW division.
3rd and 4th fight happen, cuz JMM brings more money(outside of Floyd) than the rest. Pac picked him cuz due to that reason. But to JMM, its a different story. Marquez believed he won all of the 3 fights but wasn't given by the judges. JMM wants that redemption(using the wrong word to describe it). Basically, Pac gave JMM 3 more chances. And the last chance, JMM did it by KO'ing Pac.
Pac was winning the most of the rounds, including the 6th till the JMM KO win. So, you don't think that deserve a rematch? I am not good in the whole history of boxing but i believed there were rematch fights that occurred when the loser was winning most of the rounds but got KO'ed. Now, if Pac KO'ed JMM on the 4th fight, well Pac was winning most of the rounds. So, it was basically a 1 sided beat down that doesn't deserve a rematch. Even the 2nd round, Pac was winning or even match till JMM knock downed Pac.
And no matter what JMM said that his willing to take OST test, he never did. There will be a a dark cloud on that win due to him being with a conditioning coach that has a history with PEDs. Pac has been saying in the last couple of years that hsi willing to take the OST, but his crucified by some fans(you know who they are).
I am not saying JMM has taken any PEDs. JMM has landed punches, whether his attacking or counter punching on Pac. We know that Pac also lunges which JMM has counter punch but never had a 1 KO punch. Even at the other fights with Diaz and Katsidis, JMM KO them by combinaion of punches, not 1. But then reports of him squatting at 400 something pounds and then he knock downed and KO'ed Pac with 1 punch. And look at whose the trainer.
Agree or Disagree, JMM should give Pac a 5th fight. Prove that win was not a fluke. Prove that in the 5th fight, take the OST to show his clean even with a conditioning coach that has a history with PEDs. And to give what Pac gave him, a chance.

The reason we had to sit through so many match ups is because technically the first 3 were controversial. I say Manny won the first one and JMM won the 2nd and 3rd. Either way, Marquez had a valid argument that he should have won in each match up. Manny knew he had to silence Marquez up because a man knows in his heart whether he is totally satisfied with himself and you could tell that Pacquiao wasn't after the 2nd and 3rd. Especially after the 3rd. The both fought to show who was the better of the two without no controversies. Marquez showed he was the best, so why continue? Money? Then if that is the case we should approve Marquez/Mayweather 2 or continue to scream for Manny/Marquez infinity. Somewhere it has to draw the line. Neither guy is getting any younger or better. Manny Pacquiao is not going to be the same after that KO and I'm willing to bet on it.Last edited by GRUSTLER; 02-03-2013, 11:46 PM.
