Why did Hagler and Hearns never fight again?

Hagler could punch....& Hagler was all over Hearns. Hearns had to fire back in an effort to keep Hagler off of him. Sometimes, you can't just move away, especially if it's a much stronger guy in there with you. A stronger guy who has talent & intelligence, also.

better boxer and IMO a better slugger
also no way hagler won rd 1. he didnt land the cleaner punches
IMO, Hagler won the first round. Hearns landed his big shots in the first 45 seconds. After that Hagler was beating the crap out of him. Pushing him back, hurting him.

still i probably should of said hearns is as good a slugger.
alot of haglers shots were wild, landed on gloves etc.
punch for punch hagler takes rd one
but pound for pound hearns takes it
imo of course
what is disturbing about this fight is the pnches he got knocked out on.
didnt even seem to land properly, similar to mayorga-forrest 1

I think he (Hearns) was done in, by that point. The first one that sent him reeling was off the side/top of the head, not really clean or devastating-looking. But, the final shot landed flush, & was a real power shot.

i can understand him bein koed like that after 14rds but just 3.
it means nothing to me, who won, yet as a fan i would of retired him after a ko loss like that.

Any reason given as to why there was neva a rematch?
Tommy and his glass jaw didn't want to be a catchers mit for the Marvelous one again. Can you blame him?

On Hearns Hagler Leonard and .....Duran
Originally posted by DoubleAccording to HBO it's true Hearns hurt his hand in the 1st rd AND one of his entourage gave him a massage. I would like to see Hearns try to outbox Hagler, he would never win a slugfest with Marvelous.
I will say this for Hearns ...even with his suspect chin...ya gotta love the VERY accomplished skills he had. As for Ray he was great early. I just watched some footage on his first title against Wilfredo B. and others. Anyway three great fighters in a great era....did I forget Roberto Duran? Oh my!!(I still believe that Roberto took a dive against Hearns..who knows why...$$$$$$$$!!!)
